Here is a time lapse video of a thunderstorm that brought a downpour to South Plainfield on August 10, 2012. This video was taken from the storm cam in the backyard from 11:19 AM to 12:09 PM. It captured some of the heaviest rainfall from the storm, which at its peak had rainfall rates between 4.20 and 5.33 inches per hour. Total rainfall from the cloudburst was 1.41 inches.
