Still Waiting For Disturbance To Become A Cyclone In Atlantic

Good morning everyone. Hurricaneville continues to watch the tropical low moving in on the Lesser Antilles this morning. Located some 275 miles East of the Leeward Islands this morning, the disturbance continues to get better organized with showers and thunderstorms along with Gale Force winds east of the center.

However, there is still no closed circulation with this low at the surface so it is still yet to be classified as a tropical depression, or storm. Nevertheless, it could become a tropical cyclone at anny time according to the latest Tropical Weather Outlook by the NHC. Odds are still high (better than 50 percent) for this to become a tropical depression or storm within the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, another wave is being looked at between the Cape Verde Islands and the West Coast of Africa. It has been showing some signs of development over the last 24 hours, but it is expected to gradually develop over time. Chances for this wave to become a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours is less than 30 percent at this time.
