GWC Weather Footage–September 1, 2013–Another Trip to Yankee Stadium

Here is a video of the trip taken to Yankee Stadium on the Sunday before Labor Day in 2013. It was another hot and muggy day in the Bronx, downtown NYC, and the rest of the Tri-State area as the high was a bit cooler than on Saturday at 84 degrees, but there was still the same amount of moisture in the air with a peak dew point of 77 again. The combination of the two put the heat index up at 93 for the day in South Plainfield. Skies were a bit more cloudy and darker at the stadium on Sunday than on Saturday, but the rain again held off. The Yankees weren’t as fortunate though. After taking a 3-0 lead into the top of the seventh, the Yankees surrendered 7 runs including two three run homers as Baltimore rallied to win, 7-3. Strong thunderstorms came through South Plainfield toward early evening bringing a little more than four tenths of an inch of rain.
