Here is some video footage of the winds that picked up after the eye of Hurricane Irene had passed through the Central Jersey area on August 28th. Even though the second half of the storm wasn’t as strong as the first half, winds picked up in the storm’s wake as a pressure gradient developed between Irene and high pressure moving in. The second round of winds downed more trees that were weakened by the heavy rains, gusty winds, and flooding from Irene.
