Getting Back To The Weather

Summer Hoops Season Is Over And So Is The Weather Hiatus

Good afternoon everyone. It has been a long time between postings here to the blog at Hurricaneville and Greg’s Weather Center. However, I have good news. Starting next week, that will be changing. The high school summer league basketball season is coming to an end this weekend, and I will be trying to put more of an emphasis on the weather again.

While I haven’t been updating the blog regularly, I have been posting regularly to my journal page at GWC. I’ve been trying to update that at least once per day. Even more times than that depending on the weather conditions. If you haven’t noticed, my weather station itself is working fine again. I’ve been updating data regularly, and almost 24/7 since installing my new station in mid-June. I have a Vantage Pro 2 system now after having a Weather Monitor II for about 9 years.

If you may have noticed, I have been having trouble with my CWOP page. For some reason beyond my control, the servers were updated, and I didn’t find out about this until today. However, the Weather Underground page I’ve set up, is working fine. So, you can go check that out. Also, my web cam is operational again after being down for a week. Technology is great when it works, but when it doesn’t, it can be frustrating.

Then, when you add the fact that I get caught up in other things, I often take the technology for granted, and think that it will still be working when I get back to it. I’m going to have to monitor all the stuff more regularly.
