Yet Another Disturbance Being Monitored For Development

Hurricaneville continues to watch activity throughout the Tropical Atlantic this morning, and sees that the National Hurricane Center has some focus on a broad area of low pressure in the Eastern Atlantic. In its latest Tropical Weather Outlook for the Atlantic this morning, the NHC indicated that there was an area of showers and thunderstorms associated with this vast low located several hundred miles to the south of the Cape Verde Islands. Sea surface temperatures and upper level wind patterns favor some gradual development of this low over the next several days. However, the NHC gives the probability of this disturbance becoming a depression or storm in the next 48 hours about 10 percent. We will continue to monitor this disturbance as well as other features across Africa.
