Hurricane Center Issues Last Advisory On Josephine

Good morning everyone. Well, some good news along the tropical front. After seeing what has seemed to be storm after storm forming throughout the Tropical Atlantic these past several weeks, it was nice to see the NHC issue its last advisory on Tropical Storm Josephine. After forming out in the Eastern Atlantic earlier in the week, Josephine had a tough time trying to overcome the hostile upper level winds that were brought on by an upper level low that was nearby.

As of its last advisory, what was left of Josephine was centered some 855 miles to the West of the Cape Verde Islands in the Central Atlantic. Maximum sustained winds had dissipated to 30 miles per hour, and its remnants will gradually have its winds slacken over the next few days. Minimum central pressure in Josephine had risen to 1007 millibars, or about 29.74 inches of Hg (Mercury). The leftovers of this storm were moving gradually to the West-Northwest at 9 miles per hour.
