GWC Storm Footage–August 28, 2011–Flooding From Hurricane Irene

Here is video footage of the flooding in my neighborhood caused by Hurricane Irene in South Plainfield, New Jersey on August 28, 2011. It was the worst flooding that I’ve ever experienced in the 40 years I lived in my neighborhood. We received a little more than five inches of rain from the storm. However, the ground had already been saturated by over 10 inches of rain that fell prior to the storm in the month of August. All of this rain produced the wettest month on record for the GWC weather station.
