Here is a slideshow from photos taken of storm clouds gathering ahead of a thunderstorm on July 23, 2014. After a high temperature of 90 degrees, a peak dew point of 78 degrees, and a heat index of 104, storm clouds began to gather ahead of a cold front accompanied by strong to severe thunderstorms. The storms here did produce some lightning, but only brought 0.32 inches of rain. For the month, there has been, 6.73 inches of rain at GWC in South Plainfield.
