Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey on the first day of August, 2012. On this day, thunderstorms developed in the afternoon bringing brief, but heavy downpours to Northwestern Middlesex County. While the storms only brought a little more than a third of an inch to South Plainfield, other storms in the region dumped heavier amounts in places such as Queens in New York City (2 inches in about an hour), Keansburg along the Jersey Shore and North Central Jersey.
