Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions at South Amboy’s Waterfront Park on the evening of the third Saturday of May 2015. On this evening, skies darkened ahead of an approaching thunderstorm that had a history of producing severe weather in Morris and Somerset County. For a brief time, the storm caused the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey to issue a Tornado Warning. It ended up producing torrential rain around Middlesex County including South Plainfield, where 0.82 inches fell at GWC.
