Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey on January 25, 2014. On this day, several waves of snow squalls developed in association with the 8th winter storm of the 2013-14 season. The storm brought several inches of snow to town, and other parts of Central Jersey. The storm also reinforced the arctic cold weather that was already in place.

Here is a time lapse video of the weather conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey on January 22, 2014. On this day, the skies cleared out and the temperatures plummeted following the 2nd snowstorm of the year, and 7th of the 2013-14 season. The storm brought 7.25 inches of snow to South Plainfield, and as much as 15.5 inches to Manalapan in Monmouth County.

Here is weather footage of the snow squalls that developed during the course of the day on the final Saturday in January 2014 near Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey. On this day a weak storm system came through the area, and dumped a couple more inches on an area that has seen its fair share of snow this winter. This was the third snowstorm of 2014, and eighth of the 2013-14 winter season.

Here is storm footage of the weather conditions in portions of Northern Middlesex County, New Jersey during the second winter storm of 2014. On this day, an alberta clipper system progressed to the south and east, and helped form a powerful coastal low off the Mid-Atlantic coast that brought heavy snow with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches across New Jersey. When the storm was all said and done, Manalapan, New Jersey in Monmouth County received 15.5 inches while Bridgewater in Somerset County received 11 inches and Piscataway in Middlesex County picked up 10 inches. In South Plainfield, there was, 7.25 inches of snow.

Here is weather footage of the weather conditions near Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey on the third Saturday of 2014. On this day, a small disturbance came through, and brought a mixed bag of precipitation. The precip began as sleet during the late morning hours, but then changed over to a wet snow. There was very little in accumulation that mostly ended up on grassy surfaces.

Here is a time lapse video of the weather conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey on the third Wednesday of 2014. On this day, some dense fog developed in the morning causing an advisory to be issued for the region. The fog was caused by the rise in temperature over an area where the ground was still very cold from recent snow and deep freeze.

Here is some footage of the dense fog that developed around town in South Plainfield, New Jersey on the third Wednesday of 2014. With plenty of low level moisture as well as temperatures hovering around the freezing mark, the ingredients were there for dense fog to develop. In some places, especially north and west of Central Jersey, there was a phenomenon called freezing fog. Black ice also accompanied the fog here in Northern Middlesex County, which caused some slick spots.

Here is a time lapse video of the weather conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey on the second Saturday of 2014. On this day, the weather got off to a foggy start as a warm front pushed through the area, rain began developing by the afternoon as a cold front approached from the west. A squall line developed along this front, and produced heavy rains and gusty winds throughout the state. South Plainfield received 0.73 inches of rain.
