Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions at Watchung Lake in late May 2013. On this day, there was a slight chance of a thunderstorm so the GWC storm chase team went out to see if it could get one. Fortunately for our area, no storms developed as the rough weather stayed far too the north in upstate New York. Nevertheless, the time lapse footage captured the development of the cirrus clouds.

Here is a time lapse video of cloudy conditions to end the day at Spring Lake Park. This time lapse video was made from pictures taken at several different locations around SLP. Clouds were still lingering as a coastal low gradually pulled out of the Northeastern United States.

Here is a time lapse video of cloudy conditions in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Earlier in the day, thunderstorms moved around South Plainfield, but by evening, more clouds had arrived, and brought with it some rain.

Here is a time lapse video taken at nightfall over in Washington Rock Park in Green Brook on Wednesday. The skies were very tranquil with no threatening weather. It had been a very warm and humid day with a stagnant air pattern. Clouds didn’t move much as a result, but the moon made an appearance toward the end of this video.

Here is a time lapse video of changing sky conditions at Spring Lake Park in South Plainfield during the early afternoon on Thursday. Thunderstorms were in the area, but skirted the park as well as the rest of the town. There were some rumbles of thunder as well as gusty winds and sprinkles.

Here is a time lapse video of clearing skies near Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey. On this day, there was some early morning cloudiness, but that gave way to clearing skies and a warmer and more humid day.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions over Lake Hopatcong on the border of Sussex and Morris County in mid-May 2013. You couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise at the largest freshwater lake in New Jersey. Plenty of sun, warm, but comfortable temperatures, slight breeze, and lots of blue sky with periodic cirrus clouds drifting overhead.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions in the late afternoon at Columbus Park in Piscataway. Weather was quite tranquil and very pleasant. Sunny skies. Did see a vast cumulus cloud off to the northwest of the park.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions in the late morning and early afternoon at Roosevelt Park in Edison. Weather was quite tranquil and very pleasant. Sunny skies. Temperatures climbed to above 80 degrees for only the second time this year. Lots of blue sky with some thin and wispy cirrus clouds.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions in the late afternoon at Washington Rock in Green Brook. There were changing skies after a brief shower moved through earlier in the day. A good deal of cirrus and cirrocumulus clouds along with some small cumulus clouds.
