Here is a time lapse video of changing sky conditions at Spring Lake Park in South Plainfield during the early afternoon on Thursday. Thunderstorms were in the area, but skirted the park as well as the rest of the town. There were some rumbles of thunder as well as gusty winds and sprinkles.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions over Lake Hopatcong on the border of Sussex and Morris County in mid-May 2013. You couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise at the largest freshwater lake in New Jersey. Plenty of sun, warm, but comfortable temperatures, slight breeze, and lots of blue sky with periodic cirrus clouds drifting overhead.

Temperatures climbed to above 80 degrees for only the second time this year. Lots of blue sky with some thin and wispy cirrus clouds.

Here is a time lapse video of weather conditions near sunset in South Plainfield. It was mostly overcast on this mid-April day in South Plainfield. Clouds dominated the day with very little in the way of sun. The lack of sunlight also made temperatures cooler and a bit below normal for this time of year.

Here is storm footage from the effects of Winter Storm Saturn over a period of three days during the first week of March 2013. The storm was the second most potent storm, and longest lasting of the Winter of 2012-13 here in the Garden State. The storm was called Saturn by the Weather Channel, and it brought a combination of wind and snow that affected a large swath of the Eastern United States.
